Mike joined Travelport in June 2014 in the vital leadership role of Chief Architect, with accountability for leading the Architectural function. He is part of the technology leadership team and the global senior leadership team, reflecting the importance of the Architecture function to the company and commitment to the continuing realisation of Travelport’s strategy. At Travelport, Mike has driven an enterprise wide change in creating strategic 3 year roadmaps, introduced an enterprise Architecture function and has championed the digital evolution of Travelport from a channel focused business to a platform exploiting the latest digital technologies.
Mike has extensive experience in IT and travel, with over 30 years experience leading and innovating IT and business change in the travel sector and a particularly strong track record in successfully implementing IT systems across large, global organisations.
Previous to Travelport, Mike spent 15 years working for British Airways (BA) in a number of senior roles, including Head of IT Architecture and Delivery. Mike spent some of his early career at Scandinavian Airlines in Copenhagen, later as an architect of the Galileo GDS and went onto become Director of Applications Development with responsibility for leading teams in Chicago, Denver and Swindon.

Vlatko Pavlović obtained a Master’s degree in Economics at Department of Management, University of Zagreb. During the studies, he participated in ERASMUS mobility program and spent one semester at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven, Germany. He has started a career in hotel industry in 2011. From 2015. was working as Individual Sales Coordinator for Importanne Hotels & Residences in Dubrovnik. His areas of interest are project management, congress and event management, public relations, as well as sales management. Currently is working as Senior Account Manager at Booking.com, leading the team in charge of Montenegro and Dubrovnik-Neretva district.
Managing Director, MICE Knowledge
Rob Davidson is the Managing Director of MICE Knowledge, a consultancy specialising in research, education and training services for the meetings and events industry.
His main areas of expertise are conferences and incentive travel, and he has written seven books on these themes, including his latest publication, Business Events.
He has carried out research projects for a number of major organisations including the Poland Convention Bureau, the Ireland National Tourism Development Authority, and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence.
He is regularly invited to speak at international conferences on themes linked to business events, in particular to present the results of his ongoing research into conference industry trends. Rob also teaches as a Visiting Professor in five European universities, where he educates and inspires Events Management and Tourism Management students every year.
In 2015, he was awarded a Doctorate from the University of Greenwich for his thesis, entitled ‘Technological and Demographic Factors as Agents of Change in the Development of Business Events’. In 2016, he won the Best Conference Speaker award at the Global Event Awards. In 2017, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the IBTM WORLD exhibition in Barcelona.

He started his hospitality career working at supervisory and managerial positions in Guest Services and Sales for the well-known international hotel brands such as Le Meridien, Radisson, InterContinental and Sheraton, both in Croatia and abroad. One of the most valuable professional experiences he had were the ones of Senior Corporate Account Manager at Mamaison, a small, independent chain of boutique hotels and residences with the headquarter in Prague, Czech Republic where he spent more than 4 years also working as International Sales Manager for InterContinetal Prague. After leaving Prague, Leonardo continued his career path in Dubrovnik Riviera Hotels where he was a key sales & marketing person and contributed to an opening of Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel while leading a team of 13 members.
Additionally, Leonardo is teaching destination management course at RIT Croatia and attends several industry conferences as either speaker, panel moderator and organization support.

She started her career in tourism when she finished American College of Management and Technology. With diploma of Bachelor of Applied Science in Management and Tourism, she was ready to indugle in hotel industry, in Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Zagreb. Irina was working in Sheraton and Westin Zagreb Hotels for 6,5 years. She was coordinating all activities within sales and marketing department from selling and organizing accommodation and banquet capacities, everyday contacting with clients and coordination of all events on the spot with the subordinates in order to deliver the agreed “five star” services. Some of the special projects she worked at were E-Summit 2007 (Presidents Summit) – responsible for 13 high delegations coming to Zagreb led by Presidents of 13 different European countries, including complete organization of visit to the hotel for President Putin, UEFA conference – international conference 2008, POTUS visit – complete organization of visit of President Bush and First Lady.
