Juho Pesonen

Head of E-Tourism Research, University of Eastern Finland

Juho Pesonen is the head of eTourism research at University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Business School. He has published his research on digital tourism business in various top-ranked academic journals and books. Juho is also the director of International Master’s Degree Programme in Tourism Marketing and Management at UEF. He is a board member of International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism and associate editor of Journal of Information Technology & Tourism. Juho has extensive experience in research and development projects in Finland and the European Union and now he is working with Visit Finland in designing the digital capabilities of a national smart tourism destination.

 

Prof. dr Sebastian Kaiser-Jovy

Heilbronn University

Prof Dr Sebastian Kaiser-Jovy is a Professor of General Business Administration, particularly Sport Management at Heilbronn University, Germany. He is Associate Editor of the German Journal of Exercise and Sport Research (Economics and Management) and the author and co-author of a range of books, book chapters and journal articles on sport management. His research interests include socioeconomic impacts of sports and culture, sustainable tourism and destination management, organizational behaviour. Sebastian lectures regularly at various international universities and he has held visiting positions at University of Latvia/Riga, Russian International Olympic University/Sotchi as well as University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Prof. dr Timo Becker

Macromedia University Freiburg

Prof Dr Timo Becker holds degrees in Business Administration and Arts Management and a Ph.D. in Humanities. Former positions include: Program Director of the Bachelors Program in Marketing and Communication Management and the Masters Program in Digital Marketing at the University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein, Austria. Rector of the University of Arts and Applied Sciences in Freiburg, Germany. Head of Faculty of the Media School at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg, Germany. Prof. Becker conducted Research and acted as a guest lecturer at institutions such as Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA; Executive MBA Program, Columbia University in New York City, USA; School of Management, University of San Francisco, USA.

 

Miroslav Vujičić

Assistant Professor and Assistant Director, Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad

Miroslav Vujičić is assistant professor at the University of Novi Sad and Assistant Director for international projects and students and staff mobility. He is currently implementing three international projects:

  • Erasmus+ CB in HEI project (CULTURWB) aimed in developing master curricula and LLL courses in the field of cultural tourism for WB region. He is financial and administrative manager at the project.
  • Strategic Partnership for Youth project (DiCultYouth). Project aims to measure and develop digital maturity within Youth in the project partner countries. He is project manager for mentioned project.
  • INTERREG-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia WATERTOUR: Development of water tourism on waterways connecting Hungary and Serbia HUSRB. Miroslav is financial and administrative manager at the project.

Beside mentioned ongoing projects he implemented several national and international projects and was also engaged as expert on SEE, INTERREG, RCC projects, giving him good management, financial, administrative and research skills. He has published 14 research papers at journals with IF and more than 130 citations in Scopus database. Programme Leader, BA Hons tourism. RVP for Eastern Europe in ITSA network. Member of Department Accreditation team has experience in creating study programs, managing quality assurance. He is one of the founding members and Director of COTRIwb (China Outbound Tourism Research Institute for Western Balkans).
